ALLIGATOR’S CYCLING, established in 2009, is owned & managed by husband-and-wife team, Victor Herrera & Tamyra Barnard.
Victor, originally from Bogota, Colombia, is a former professional road & track cyclist. With 33 years of experience racing & working in the bicycle industry, he is one of the most experienced cyclists and bicycle mechanics in South Florida. Training with Victor gives you the opportunity to ride with a former pro. He shares knowledge he acquired from his 12 years of racing professionally all over the world for various teams based out of Colombia, including the Colombian National Cycling Team. Victor’s Group Training at Markham Park begins by working on technique and improving skills such as bike handling and positioning, to engaging in specific physical drills and exercises designed to improve physical performance. All of this under his expert guidance.
Tamyra has 18 years of cycling experience, holds a USA Cycling Cat 1 racing license & is a C.P.A. She grew up on a farm near Virginia, Nebraska, graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, then moved to Florida where she worked in corporate tax for many years. Her first cycling event was the 1999 Ride the Rockies, a +500 mile 7-day tour across Colorado. Later, she started racing duathlons & then focused only on road racing (criteriums, road races, time trials) at the local, state & national levels for various teams.
Both Victor & Tamyra are very experienced cyclists. We focus on keeping each ride fun and challenging while maintaining the safety of the group and the individual.
Life is good on the bike!
